I have been waiting for today to arrive for a couple weeks now. You see today was the first "open shinny" at East Bayfield in Barrie. (For those of you not familiar with "shinny" it's basically pickup hockey.) Last year, for the first couple weeks, I would skate and then start to feel sick halfway into the game. Let's just say I left a few deposits in the garbage cans on the bench. I was hoping the same fate would not befall me this year. So far it hasn't. I did feel sick at some points this morning, but I managed to keep my frosted flakes within my digestive system. Let's hope I can continue to keep my composure.
