I was over at the in-laws last night and as part of the evening, we shared our goals for 2009. I hadn't really given it much thought, so (aside from sell our condo and move into our house) I said I wanted to paddle from Centennial Beach to Big Bay Point. (15km) There's only one problem... I don't own a stand-up paddleboard. I could rent one for a couple days, but how do I train? I don't think I can just hop on the board and paddle 15km. So now the first step in achieving my goal is to find a way to train for the journey. Then I can try to tackle the lengthy paddle. Any ideas?

What about you? What would you like to accomplish before 2009 comes to an end?

Who knows, maybe I'll end up ripped like Laird?
